In the same way that Daniel realized that the Word of the Lord had not been fulfilled for Jerusalem, and set himself to fast and pray, so we recognize that God's redemptive purpose for Lancaster has not yet been fully realized. We believe the Spirit is stirring us to call a 21 day fast with corporate ministry to the Lord using the Joel 2:12/Acts 13:2 model as we labor with Him unto this end.  We believe the Lord will pour out His Spirit with power and many laborers will be sent out. This is the biblical model for Spirit empowered missions sending, which is one of the primary redemptive purposes for Lancaster County and South Central PA.  Will you join us as we seek the Lord for this together?

The fast will run from Sunday, August 30 to Saturday, September 19. The final three days of the fast will culminate with the Fire In The Farmlands gathering, September 17-19, under the tent. We see the fast and the gathering working together as one to help birth this missions sending movement that Jesus has spoken over this region. Pursuant to this vision, we are inviting leaders from around the region to join us by hosting prayer gatherings in their churches and ministries on various evenings during the fast.  Leaders can select a date on the sign up sheet, in which their church or ministry can host a corporate prayer gathering.  In this way we can “minister to the Lord” with fasting, as modeled in Acts 13.
